Why does Portugal have low Muslim population? (cost, people, German)

I notice among western European countries, most have 2.5-8% of Muslim population. The only except is Portugal, with only 0.6%.

Maybe because Muslims are only a minority of people who live in the countries that are the sources of Portugal's immigrant population.

Because we're poorer than the rest, that's the main reason
And apart from Morocoo we're far from arab centers, and even moroccans are much closer to Spain.

Ireland probably doesn't have many of them as well.

When I was in Europe, I noticed a drastic drastic drastic difference of almost NO Muslims at all, the moment you'd cross into countries like Czech Republic, Poland, etc. You'd think they'd be at least equally desirable on some level - i.e. still Europe, maybe the significantly lower cost of living might be some advantage to starting a business, etc.

But, it seems that Muslims prefer the wealthier European countries with the higher costs of living.

Most muslims in Europe live in Spain, France, UK, Netherlands and Belgium.

there are recent increases in Ireland, Germany, Italy but the whole muslims are taking over is ridiculous!

I think Europe needs to integrate the immigrants it already has, and try to emphasize European culture (there is nothing wrong with prioritizing European culture overall)

This idea that Europe needs to become a second US full of political correctness with a watered down multicultural society where no one feels a connection with each other and everyone just pretends to get along is ridiculous!!! (this is why I cannot stand the UK because they try so hard to be like that)

European culture has to be PRIORITIZED AND ENFORCED, if you want to come to Europe you should be given opportunities and tools so that you can integrate and become a European citizen with all the rights and responsibilities, but don't come here expecting to recreate your homeland!!!! if you want to be home, then go home!!! I am in Europe and I am not trying to enforce my culture on anyone, I'll celebrate my culture behind closed doors in the privacy of my home, but out in society I NEED to respect the local culture and its traditions!

Europe has its own rich cultural traditions that date back thousands of years and they shouldn't disappear just because EU leaders must copy the US!
