You might fly to Estambul, sleep at hostels, eat bread with mackerel and street food, move to Sophia, sleep at hostels and get to countries with large communities of squatters up north. If you have skills, play music, you can ask for money while playing or making bubbles...if yiu carry a pair of dogs you will obtain more money. You won't have problems with an American passport in those countries.
