Spain is clearly more developed than Portugal and Greece, the GDP per capita is also higher.
Spain is a modern country.

Similar threads have already been posted numerous times on this forum and usually such subjective topics only lead to meaningless bickering.

Developmement and quality of life in Spain and Italy are very similar however I'd give the small margin to Spain which has been doing better in last 20 years despite huge unemployement problem.

I also would NOT include France or UK among top 10 European countries in terms of quality of life and development.

I'd say Norway, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Finland, Austria, Iceland and Belgium have to be the 10 countries in europe with the highest quality of life, and It is usually supported by most studies about the subject.

I think that those who do not Know Spain have image of Civil.- War and post war that was a war which produced of great poverty and is this Spain that has been fixed them in his imagination without thinking about who have gone many years and explains why these threads that repeat the absurd full of prejudice of a poor Spain that non-existent ,

On the contrary those who Know the current Spain happens the other way around especially if those visit the industrial northern Spain.
They have an impression of a very developed -country that makes that them the appreciate perhaps too.-

Even many of those who visit today Spain and Italy currently they value economically more Spain that Italy because they see much most order and discipline in Spain for the cleaning and care in cities , punctuality in the trains, and discipline on the roads that makes that having sensation that is best the economics of Spain than the Italy.
Perhaps this order and discipline is due for the military tradition of Spain .-

However today in the statistics of PIB everyone can see that Spain is behind Italy but for very few numbers.

There are not discussion.-This is the solution to this issue

The which can be misleading is that of course there are regions in Spain much richer than others.
Some the this regions who are among the richest in Europe.-
