Stemming from 'rysse', the Swedish term for a Russian person, equalling as 'Russkie' in English, but due to historical reasons 'ryssä' is extremely offensive in the Finnish language. 'Ryssä' is for a Russian-Finnish person as offensive as the n-word is for African Americans when said by a white person.
I think that's FIAT's past reputation, it's thought of as a really reliable company here in Italy and his products are also made to navigate our often narrow and winding streets. FIAT's spare parts also can be easily found anywhere throughout the country and are usually quite cheap
1. Yes.
2. No of course not. I was genuinely curious about the whole 'racial slurs and racism' argument. Racism is word too used nowadays, to the point it will become meaningless if we continue to use it indistinguishably.
There is 2 ways I can say this. Hurtful and normal.
1. "Itlaian's" we should ask Donald Trump for definition. Italy is a country and so some-one with an Italian passport is an Italian while some-one with a US passport is an American ? So if we are not being hurtful and speaking a language only Trump may understand, we need to define "Itlaian"
2. People who originated in Italy, their race is white (last I checked). I am also considered "white". So again, where do you find "Racism" ?
I does seem that the original usage of 'race', to denote ethnicity or nationality, is regaining currency.
As little as a hundred years ago it was the norm to refer to the 'English race', the 'Japanese race', the 'Turkish race', etc.
Yep 100 % true and outside of America it's still largely like that....
Also "racism" is far from the only form of discrimination in the human species.....Historically speaking ethnicity and religion has been used every bit as much ( if not even more so) as a reason for discrimination as race has been......WW2 being the ultimate example.....

I wasn't saying you were racist, not even saying 'fùcking Italians + x number of insults' is racism per se.
I was just curious about the fact that saying a racial slur is not considered racism in the US, because it seemed to me that if you were a White person saying 'nìgger' it was a big issue.

in US most people are not to bright... I have no idea, Donalt Trump speaks at the level of a 4rth grader. Newspapers are at the level of a 6 grader. So basically how would The Donald classify it
Ethnic slur v racial slur.... To me it's an ethnic slur and not a racial one with regards to Italians.
The way I see it: (can't speak for the whole 300 million of US population).
Italians are white race, mideterian subdivision. (This subdivision covers neighboring countries).
We eat genetically modified food in the US. Italian restaurants serve mostly grain and cheese. Organic, freshly farmed grain and cheese in Italy might make a wholesome meal. Wheat grows in 2 rows, but we have genetically mutated it to 6 rows, we also use bleaching techniques... Food that we get in US that is labeled "Italian" like from Italian restaurants is not a healthy way to eat. The raw ingredients used have a high diabetes and obesity rates. Going back to The Donald and his flowers. they can not comprehend this and use generalization and labeling "Italian food sucks !"...
Blacks as a race have a different life expectancy, different sickness statistics and different college admission rates. Blacks are just really different genetically. Racism is not stating fact, but rather saying "Inferior"/"Superior".
At that we have 3 major races, black, white and Asians... if you ask me we should allow people to marry many partners and have sex until we are the same skin color. Then i can curse off folks and not worry about being labeled a racist

Vitun ryssä.
in Russian, when some-one says "I am Russian". "Ya Russkie" So you are telling me that saying Russian in Russian is offensive to Russian ? I mean it literary means Russian.
