I'm not sure. I guess a city of at least 200K.

I'd recommend Norway.... Bergen has 250K and Oslo has more than 1 million.

No place is entirely peaceful. Peace and safety is relative.

Of course you have places like Syria which sadly is going through very tough times, but even in Europe you can find crime and danger.

Possibly true, though you may die of boredom in the meantime.

I don't think Hungary, Czech republic and Poland are boring.

I actually find the UK much more boring than those places because unlike those parts of Europe, the UK is ridden with laws dictating every single step you take, and with an intrusive government minding everyone's private lives making sure everyone plays nice. Let's not even mention the horrifying weather that eventually turns you either suicidal or sick because of lack of vitamin D.

Other countries worth mentioning because of how sterile they feel it's Germany and Austria. Austria is so clean, safe, organized, sterile and boring, I feel like I am on the actual movie set of the sound of music and not on an actual country.

As far as Germany, well Cologne is supposedly their crazy city and Cologne is a sleepy town with barely anything to do after a week spent there, that should tell you how exciting the rest of Germany is.

What planet do you inhabit?

Would it be the Polish one, which recently elected the Law and Justice Party into government?

In the days when Hungary, Czech R and Poland were under the communist jackboot, the UK was a bastion of freedom - and it's got a lot freer in the meantime. You have obviously never been here.

If that wasn't farcical enough, you bring up the weather. Go do a little Googling. The UK has WARMER average temperatures and LESS precipitation than any of the three countries you mention. It's also incredibly safe.

The Czech Republic and Especially Southern Poland are among the cloudiest regions in Europe.

Pro tip: fish is a good source of vitamin D. There are also supplements you can take.
