Interestingly, there are remarkable similarities between the Soviet structure of government and that of the USA. Both states were founded out of revolution. Both states gave tremendous importance to "theory". In the case of the USSR it was Marx and Lenin; in the case of the USA it is the constitution. Both states have/had a president and two chambers of "parliament". Both states are/were federal organizations. There are historical comparisons too. Both states were expansionist until they reached the pacific ocean and both states made extensive use of forced labor. In the USA it was slavery and in the USSR it was the gulag.
Obviously, to say that the USA is just like the USSR is patently ridiculous. And yet, that is the same mistake the speaker in that video is making. And it remains patently ridiculous.
