...Your anecdotal evidence means nothing. It's anecdotal.
Exactly. Thanks for proving my point. My anecdotal evidence is every bit as valid/invalid as all of the "CrossFit will tear your body apart, my doctor/physical therapist/personal trainer said so".

he wasnt bright enough to foresee this retort when he typed his post.
I wish I could do crossfit, I've got a congenital condition where I've been advised not to do high intensity bursts or intervals. It's a bummer, because I enjoy this type of exercise thoroughly.
Ask your doctor. If they say it's safe, it's safe. Proper form and not pushing beyond your level of fitness with anything is usually safe.

"way before crossfit existed, myself and other coaches did things like lifts on the minute, or say 80% of your max as many times as possible in 10 minutes. So this isnt really borrowing from crossfit. But this was interesting just cause i saw the time someone else posted and thought it would be an interesting challenge to maybe beat it."
Now, I know you have your differences with Glenn's coaching, Tom. But I wanted to show others that not everyone in the competitive Oly lifting world feels the same.
Well, it's not something that he is incorporating into his training... jsut that it was 'interesting to try and beat it' with no training on the grace WOD. I believe they came pretty close to beating some certain time, despite not training endurance as much as CF'rs.

Instead of the fact that they were actually doing Grace.

I have a congenital condition as this as well...no high-intensity bursts or intervals.
Does your condition have to do with your hips+knees?
