Dictating is a strong word. We (guys) may like it one way or another. But typically guys aren't dictating anything because a relationship isn't a dictatorship. It's purely up to the girl to do what she wants or not wants and the guy to accept it or not (in this specific scenario).
I don't see why everyone is so critical of people doing this or anything they want to themselves. It's fine to like it or dislike it. But don't criticize someone because they like it or dislike it. That's just low. Everyone is different and hopefully when we grow up we'll learn to accept that.
