Nobody had to say anything bad about being gay because it's implied. Go call any heterosexual male gay because of what they're wearing and see how they respond.

You obviously don't know too much about the gay community.

Assume someone is gay because of their pants? You cannot be serious. Americans never cease to amaze me.

Goodness gracious.
1st of all, if you're going to pick apart someone's post just to suit your argument you might want to do it better.
I never referenced the 'wouldn't be caught dead in them' comment.
I never said that just because you wore colored pants you were gay.

I SAID that if I saw a man in them that I would assume they were gay. I would also assume that way if I saw a man in skinny jeans. My bad if I was wrong. I don't see anything wrong with being gay.

I just feel that Gay males are more fashion forward than MOST hetro guys. And if you find something insulting about that, they you have the problem not me.

And if someone said they wouldn't be caught dead in them, then they don't like them and find them hideous.
There are many styles that I wouldn't be caught dead in. But unless asked....which is what this tread actually did...oh wait..therein lies the problem....someone DID ask someone's opinion, they gave it and now they are homophobes.

So if you're picking apart my post then you have something against gay males being more fashion forward than MOST hetro men. Ok Got it!

But you see why that is ignorant, right? It's one thing to make assumptions if you see a man wearing neon hot pants, rollerblades, and a cropped halter top, but we're not talking about anything so extreme. Making assumptions like that for no other reason than the color of a man's pants is as absurd as assuming a woman wearing pants is a lesbian.

So to spare you from future embarrassing judgements, let me clear something up. Pants of various bright hues are a growing trend. They are worn by men who are gay, straight, and everything in between (same with skinny jeans). When you see a man wearing colorful pants, the only assumption you can reasonably make is that he likes colorful pants.

That looks good. The shoes are just right. It's a very young look, though.

I'm not sure what part of the country you live in but they're not a trend or a growing trend here in Dallas.

It is very popular where I live for people under about 35 or so. Seems to be the case in NYC as well.

I am on my phone, please forgive the typos.

Not where I live, thank goodness. The only time men here wear really "colorful" apparel is usually during huntin' season. Might keep ya frum gittin shot, dontcha know.

I'd say it's trendy in the following places:
South (among the wealthier southern preps)
NYC
Parts of new england
California

If anything, colored pants are often associated with preppy sub cultures, and wealthier individuals, so it's be no surprise that people are so hostile towards them. Let's face it, most americans have a deep rooted hatred of wealthy people and their fashion styles.

You might have done fine if you'd left off that last sentence. I don't think class warfare is as wide-spread as you are assuming. Perhaps that's your attitude toward success but I doubt the majority share it. As with most generalities, yours goes over the line.
