Robert Redford had cosmetic surgery years ago. That information was posted earlier in this thread. Now it is posted again. Does it make him any less of a fine, down-to-earth person? No.

Those were only rumours, I don't believe he has EVER had any plastic surgery. People speculate about dumb stuff like that on the 'net all the time.
I like Redford and think he looks fine...but do you all not know or remember that he actually DID undergo a face lift several years -- maybe even 10 years ago? It was not becoming to him at all ... I thought it looked worse than he looked before, because he had appeared to age naturally and quite nicely. His face appeared much too tight and it actually altered his features a bit. So now, what we see here in this photo is his natural aging since that facelift.
I see nothing wrong with getting cosmetic surgery, just wanted to make this statement lest anyone assume that what we are seeing in this photo is his natural, untouched face.
I remember that the surgery was BAD plastic surgery. His hair, also, does not look natural.
I think Mr. Redford has aged very badly myself. Perhaps he should have left well enough alone.
We all age; but he was sooo attractive and the bad surgery and sun damage has really taken it's toll. I also wonder about his hair?
I think he looks just fine, especially for 77! I too agree with those who find it refreshing that he hasn't done all sorts of weird things to himself to try to look younger. I have not seen even ONE celebrity who I think looks better for having "work" done!
More people should accept aging gracefully and have his attitude!
LOL apparently, though, he hasn't evolved enough to accept having his women age gracefully. When he jettisoned his first wife and later married his girlfriend, he commented that she was European and younger, which he liked.
In other words, he can look his age (and grizzled) but his wife had better not.

So you know him personally? I never believe the crap I read about these celebrities. Whatever.

He married his girlfriend in 2009, which would make him about 73 when he married her. I believe she's in her mid to late 50's now.
