I'm noticing a trend where some people like to wear midriffs to work.. Yay or Nay?

I come from a different generation, and am surprised to see midriffs being work appropriate.

What is your take?

It depends on the workplace.

For me it is not acceptable.
When I am a customer I do not want to see
that much of your body, even if it is just your belly.

We stopped at a doughnut shop over the weekend while traveling and they allowed sweat pant type pants and I thought it was completely inappropriate. They were not the traditional sweat pants and not yoga pants either but some sort of shinier material.

Not appropriate at all. I know where I used to work they would be sent home, and pay docked.

That would never fly where I work (the corporate office for a bank). I really don't want to see most people's belly regardless of where I am.

Do you mean people exposing their midriffs? You don't wear a midriff. It's part of your body.

Personally, I've never seen it in a professional environment.

Unacceptable.

I've never seen it, though.

I have seen platform stilettos, tutus and yoga pants, but no bare midriffs.

I find that extremely hard to believe because of the "corporate environment" usually has dress code. Midriff tops are almost always part of the "inappropriate to wear" list.

Unless its a "corporate environment" that is okay with it like one in the creative/visual arts field like video gaming, art, Girls Gone Wild, etc.

Actual midriff bearing attire is definitely not allowed unless the woman has something covering it when means nothing is "bearing".
