Apparently this dress resides in a shop somewhere in London & according to abc World news Tonight, it is definitely black and blue. Me personally, I saw it as white and gold. Sorry boys and girls I could not find a link for it.
Having said that I do know that the pearl dress that Lupita Nyong'o wore to the Oscars was found two days after it was stolen from her hotel room in West Hollywood, police say. Mum's the word and neither Lupita, the hotel where she was staying or the various 'reps' are commenting or giving any details on the 'unfortunate incident'.
On the news last night it looked white/gold, Doshie, on Rovers Morning Glory said it was white/gold when she saw it, but when sheooked it up again, it was blue/black. In the link it looks white/gold, but my friend here, sad blue/green. This is on my zte GrandX.
My husband was with a group of guys who were starting to get into a huge argument about who's right about the color of the dress. So he tosses out: "All I see is the pink underwear." Which stops the argument.... but only because the rest of the guys were looking for that (phantom ) pink underwear, lol.
Its always blue/black to me- I wish I could see it as white/gold!
If you scroll all tbe way down to the ads for ither articles/linked sites it shows it black/blue, and the link next to it is a side by side of both colors. I hate blue, but the white/gold "version" is ugly.
First of all, won't the monitor or TV you see the picture on have some effect on what color it appears to be? Also, I have heard that this dress is supposed to be like a mood ring. If that's the case, wouldn't it be reflecting the mood of the person wearing it, not the viewer? If people do indeed see it on the same monitor and see it differently as black and blue versus gold and white, then there must be something different about their eyes, not merely their moods. There are degrees of colorblindness. Perhaps this particular color pair highlights that.
Just for the record, every time I've seen the picture (no matter where) I see light blue and a bronze-brown, not black.
I just looked again after saying last night that it was blue and brown. It still is blue and brown but if I tilt my screen back, it makes things darker. Then the dress is dark blue with black trim.
Since I sell clothing on ebay, this is a little bit disturbing. If I'm selling a fuchsia dress, are some people going to see it as red and others see pink? Or is this just one isolated example? I know different monitors display colors differently but I don't think they are that different unless there's really something wrong with the monitor.
How can anyone see white and gold? What is going on? If people are gazing at one computer and seeing different colors then it must be something with the human eye, right?
My wife and I looked at the same exact picture, she saw gold and white, and saw blue and black, very strange! Yet earlier today, looking at the same picture, I saw white and gold.
