My facial skin is getting ridiculously dry. I have oily skin to begin with, but I think with the change in weather, my skin is just being difficult. I'm using Eucerin now and it's not helping. Is there another moisturizer I can buy at the drugstore?
Note: I've used that stuff from Clinique and love it, but looking to save on money. TIA.
I use my Monsia day moisturizer with SPF15 but in the winter I tend to also apply Vit E oil after the moisturizer to seal in the moisture. Perhaps you could just add Vit E oil to whatever moisturizer you use, it is really reasonably priced. Give it a try.
After a bad experiment with a facial scrub (I don't recommend scrubs) and a new expensive moisturizer, my face became extremely dry. First it started with patches then it spread. My skin is usually normal, but I was afraid I did something permanent to my skin. I went back to an old standby, a true workhorse, the classic Pond's face cream (light blue lid) and slowly my skin recovered and after a week it was completely back to normal. If it can make me heal, it should do wonders for regular dry skin.
Original formula Oil of Olay. I've been using it for almost 40 years!
It's interesting how Olay dropped the "Oil of" portion of the moniker in their advertising a while back when the last thing anybody wanted to think about on their skin was "oil." Ah, marketing.
I wonder if they'll re-embrace the "Oil of" prefix, now that oil is trendy (see: argan oil, coconut oil, etc.). It now brings to mind lush, luxuriant moisture, instead of grease slick imagery.
Ive just been given Simple Illuminating moisture and its great.. no smell non greasy and looks good on.. and not expensive..
