Forget the fashion experts and wear them if you want to. I've seen guys much older than 35 wearing them and they look just fine in them.

DH is 59 and has one with wolves on it that he wears; I'm 48 and wear one with the wicked witch on it

Of course I would never wear it to a formal occasion but it's fine for the weekends and even casual Fridays in some laid back work environments.
Interesting... Maybe I should have called them "novelty T-shirts" instead of "graphic T-shirts".

The T-shirts you described sound cool. Good job on finding them.

You should only wear clothes that you feel great wearing, regardless of age.

I'm really old and sometimes wear tshirts with stuff on them but usually just to the barn or if I'm running out to the store while doing work around the house.

My other has stupid stuff on his tshirts and many of them he buys at Walmart for $5.

There's always going to be someone out there that judges. Forget about them. Wear what you like.

I don't think the graphics are what cancels out the shirt. I think it's the fit. If you're in shape and don't have a belly, you won't look like a manchild simply by wearing a graphic T-shirt.

As usual, it's HOW you wear it that matters. If the design is something that is meaningful to you, even better.
Agreed 100%

And a cool t-shirt with well fitting jeans and a sports jacket is a good look!

We live part time in Hawaii and it seems fine there with shorts in good condition. Beach areas are often very casual in many ways. In the Portland area where long pants are the norm, maybe not so much. So maybe it depends on the norm for your area.

You are never too old for that. Many celebrities have been caught wearing band shirts. A love shirts that have either logos or graphics on them as they are very expressive. In a casual environment, I don't see anything wrong with wearing what you want.

A guy is a guy no matter what age he is. It is the women who grey up fast and lose the ability to be young. Just run some laps and keep your body in shape.

Saying After 30 is R$@#$@ **** right now. If you look at your age as a sign of changing up. You are wrong. You have the right to dress whatever way you like and you want no matter what year it is. You just need to look good.

If something isn't socially acceptable at 30 then it isn't socially acceptable at 27, 28 or 29 either.

It's obvious the OP is self conscious about wearing these shirts because why else would he ask us if it's appropriate to wear them? If he didn't care what others thought, then he would never have posted this in the first place.

He's looking for emotional support from others to go ahead and wear them, that there's nothing wrong with graphic t-shirts and whatnot. I'm not criticizing him for it, just calling it like it is. You ask for an opinion, then be prepared for all opinions both good and bad.

Some of us don't think graphic t-shirts are appropriate in general for many situations, especially over a certain age. If others disagree, hey, more power to you, wear your graphic t-shirts and disregard what the 'haters' say.

I know people on this forum have mocked other fashion trends that I personally wear, and I could care less what they think. Like cargo shorts for example, cargo shorts are one of the most mocked articles of clothing in the fashion blogosphere, but I proudly wear them on vacation as they actually serve a useful function (instead of carrying a fanny pack which is far worse).

Good thing about being over 30 is that you stop giving a hoot about what fashion magazines write.

Wear what you like. At this age, you’re likely wise enough to see when something is not appropriate. E.g. you wouldn’t wear them for an interview, would you? Just use common sense.
