I must not be the only one? If so where do you get most of your clothes? There aren't many stores in the NJ/ NYC area that cater to this anymore.

Ebay, thrifts, DIY!

I grew up in a time wher there was no Hot Topic. Yeah, I'm an oldie. DIY was the punk rock way.

Well that's my point. There was a way before it was mass marketed. And it was unique, and fun, and no one had your same outfit when you were at a club or a show... and that's certainly do-able today.

My son is into the punk scene. He is 16. He takes great pride in the stuff he puts together out of his own creativity, and he is not a fan of Hot Topic at all really. He prefers it old school I guess you could say..... and hes certainly of today's generation.

Even so, ebay and thrift stores are certainly not specific to my generation, and it's still way to get great things. There are a TON of DIY/custom clothing people sewing/creating/ selling amazing and one of a kind clothes on eBay, geared to the punk and goth subcultures.

You must be thinking of a wrong store because AA sell tight skinny stretch jeans and some accessories that could go with the punk or cyber girl look.
