My mother and grandmother had a couple of fur coats as well as a hat and collar. Now that they are long gone, the coats will never be worn and the hat and collar are cat toys.
I have a chinchilla as a pet and know how many of them it takes to make a coat. I find the killing of these beautiful creatures for vanity disgusting.
Shame...you could have the pieces made into a teddy bear(s), which would be a nice sentimental item.

would you be offended if someone made a teddy bear out of the hair of a child that was murdered?

Lets just get this out in the open...humans and animals are NOT the same. Big difference. I mean, REALLY!
If I get mice in my house how do I get rid of them, btw.
Actually though, we have cats, and our newest and youngest is very good at catching any mice that get in. I see him on the prowl, and when he has it cornered I grab the little thing by the tail and put it outside.
So what you're saying is one "must" wear fur so they can appear to have some social status?
Class: One either has it or doesn't...it's not something that can be bought.
I never stated that class was associated with a fur coat. It's unrelated to this topic.
I was referring to another poster's comments which was inferring that those with less wealth tend to wear them in order to look like they have money:
Quote:
The only women I see wearing fur are the poorer ones trying to look "classy". I live in a very wealthy area, and you just don't see the wealthy wearing fur.
In my opinion, for someone to state that wealthy people don't wear fur coats is kind of ignorant, which makes me wonder what events or places they are attending, if any at all.
