The Pinnacle area in Rogers isn't that where a lot of office buildings and towers are being built?

Yes but they are just spread out and surrounded by a sea of parking lots. No effort went into the overall design of the Pinnacle area.

It's awkward. They couldn't have designed a worse traffic flow plan between the surface roads and I-540.

The problem with any statement like that (i.e., "it couldn't possibly be worse") is that it is invariably and often swiftly disproved.

You do have a point. As bad as the Pinnacle area is I believe the area surrounding the NWA mall in Fayetteville is worse as far as traffic pattern and getting on/off 540 is concerned.

I just visited Rogers yesterday for the first time, specifically the Pinnacle Point area and thought it was fantastic! If I were moving to the area, I couldn't imagine living anyplace else! The shopping and restaurants were great, traffic was managable and anything you want is at your fingertips. Two thumbs up Rogers - keep up the great work!

But there is no walkability, it is horrible, even that thing they call a mall has cars going through it.

Why would you want to live somewhere where you have to drive to do even a simple errant?

Perhaps Rogers, Springdale, Lowell, and Bentonville could merge. They are the economic and commercial center of the region that has driven much of the growth. Fayetteville, despite now being the second largest city in the state and having a more diverse economy than it used to, is still primarily a college town and the University is still the largest employer there.

You mention TV stations leaving Fayetteville for Rogers. KNWA is actually licensed to Rogers, while KHOG 29 is licensed to Fayetteville. I never realized before that both stations are in the opposite cities.

Interestingly, when this thread was made back in 2008, KFSM 5 was still primarily a Fort Smith station with the main studio in Ft. Smith. Recently the entire station moved to a new studio in Johnson practically abandoning Ft.Smith (at least that’s how a lot of viewers feel down there) I wonder if they are going to change the call letters?
