Not sure I would chop it down. It does kinda frame that background nicely and looks like it may be blocking a bunch of homes that would detract from the view.

If we buy the house -- a big IF -- the tree stands squarely in the way of a future RV pad and other improvements we would make to 1/2 acre of what is currently just scrub brush and weeds.

So you plan a parking an RV in front of that view? Oh well, to each their own.

Yes, I'm planning on spending $1 million on a house just so I can ruin the view I bought it for.

I can think of a lot better things to spend $1,000,000 on. I'd spend a bit less on a home and more on seeing things around the world. IMHO.

You are the one that said the tree is in the way of a future RV pad. Now stupid me figures if you plan on pouring an RV pad in the area the tree is you just MIGHT park an RV on it.

I think a bunch of RVs parked near big McMansions would enhance the view in the area nicely. What local developer isn't doing their job and developing the area out more? Come on, there is gold in them their hills...at least until the area is destroyed...er I mean cali retiree friendly. Yeah I went there.

No offence fluffythewondercat, if it was just you no big deal, but I bet it is not...I betcha there are several new houses being built in the near area isn't there? There is probably some legal and water restraints, but developers will find a way.

You can't stop progress! But you can **** and moan about it.

It appears to be what is known as a 'twisted juniper tree' one that has been flat topped by man.

Looks like the tree and view is safe for now. The OP decided she didn't like the people in Sedona. The MILLION dollar home was not sold.

I didn't say I didn't like the people I met in Sedona. I said most of them weren't very friendly, compared to people I have met elsewhere in AZ. I guess the truth hurts, eh?

But it's weird that even some people working in the hospitality industry in Sedona won't crack a smile.

I've been traveling a lot this year, sometimes staying at the same property a week after a previous stay. Except for Sedona, everywhere I've been greeted with a smile and "Oh, I remember you!"

So what's with the Sedona freeze? Still bummed because Trump won?
