I feel your pain guys... I looked into the sawmill development, talked to the city, and got some answers for you all.

The sawmill development has multiple zoning rules depending on the lot. Currently, no developments are being done due to dangerously high VOC (volatile organic compounds) in the soil. There are several good sized plots that are zoned for high density housing.

We are looking at, at the minimum, 6 or more months before the city can sell the lots to developers (the city took over the bond of $8 million when the developer of the project went under). I am working with several investors and designers to bring some nice apartments to the area (right near franklin and lone tree). The city has conveyed to me that they really want someone to build housing. I'll try to make it happen...
