Jacksonville is simply backwards redneck. I don't consider the USA to be backwards redneck. They're the odd balls.

I think some voters have never lived in FL.
maybe, Orlando, Jacksonville and Orlando have way more in common in my opinion. Miami is differant than all three.

Nashville and Davidson County in Tennessee did it in the 1960's.

Jax is very much a part of the South, Tampa and Central FL also have a southern element and charm in some areas. I feel like Miami is definitely the oddball. I know life-long Floridians and natives that wont even claim Miami.
I'm a native Floridian and hate Jacksonville. The entire panhandle and north Florida have a fake southern thing going on, It's more so a "redneck bubba" thing then a southern thing..

I would gladly take Miami over Jacksonville and I hate overcrowding.

Houston, TX.
Not so sure it is "fake" as you claim. How do you know it's fake anyway?

When I was younger living in the Tampa Bay area my family often made trips to Tallahassee, Gainesville, and Lake City. I've also lived in Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Louisiana, and Texas in my life. I know genuine vs. fake.
