I remember going up the citrus tower in the late 60's and your view was orange trees in every direction to the horizon.
Went up last winter and the trees seem to have been replaced with bungalows,
still plenty of wasps hanging out up there.
Weeki Wachee river has banned tubing thanks to people tossing their garbage into the river but you can rent canoes or kayaks at the beginning of the river and take a 4-5 hour float down it..

A friend and antique nut from Zephyr Hills relies on us northerners to take our treasures down to Florida so he can buy them up.

Airboat rides in the Everglades. I believe it was straight out west on Griffin Rd. in Broward County.
Everglades Holiday Park - Airboats
I enjoyed going to St. Augustine. The best thing was taking the trolley around for 3 days and not having to drive anywhere. Love historical places like that.
Key Largo, John Pennekamp I went on a snorkel trip once, absolutely loved it. I haven't been there in over 20 years so I'm sure it's changed.
