Haha They dont even cover the shootings in NYC or Chicago.

NYC -- 3 people were shot in The Bronx yesterday, broad daylight. === 18 year old suspect apprehended. Malik Malone, 19 shot and killed Brandon Burgos, 20, in the torso on Feb. 5. Burgos had a vest "stuffed with drugs".

Orlando
A woman was shot Thursday evening at the Blossom Park Condominiums in Orlando,
A man was shot early Friday during a fight near 55 West in downtown Orlando.

Chicago - Three men were shot in the Austin neighborhood this evening, police said.

Police say the four teens were in the parking lot of the McDonald's at 6740 N. Clark St. around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday when there was an argument and then gunfire. Carr was shot in the head and collapsed in a driveway next to a strip mall with a pizza restaurant, a dental office and a dollar store.

A man and a teenager were killed and at least seven others have been wounded in shootings across Chicago since Saturday afternoon.

PHOENIX – More details have been revealed about the shooting of a Phoenix police officer and a Maricopa County Sheriff's Office posse member. Roger Allen Sharp Jr., 26, of Phoenix, and David Lee Murray Jr., 36, of Tempe, were arrested late Tuesday afternoon.

Why do these murders not make the national news like the FL stories? Because it wasnt a white guy doing the shooting.

These cases in FL are not mass shootings (isolated incidents happen in every state since the inception of this country). Until something similar happens, hold your horses.

No, the ones in FL make the national news due to the outrageous reasons that the shooting occurs in the first place.

Hotheads walking around who let the behaviors of others get under their skin and they start a confrontation. Life is full of rude behavior these days. But to get to the point of killing someone over loud music at a gas station(how long are you at a gas station..under 5 minutes) or to get annoyed because someone is texting in a movie theater before the film has even started, well than get up and sit elsewhere(the theater was more than 75% empty).

That is why these stories get the national attention, because they're so absurd to begin with.

Gang style shootings are sadly a way of life in bad areas of large cities for years.

Getting murdered over texting in a movie theater or for playing music too loud is a disturbing trend.

25 Deadliest Mass Shootings in U.S. History Fast Facts - CNN.com

Touche'. However, I only see 1 FL mass shooting in this list (in Miami, 1982) and the one you mentioned. All other, far deadlier shootings took place in other states(2 in CT with 27 and 10 victims). So for a small state, it does have a lot of violence of that kind.

I agree. But I'll be fair to CT and say that they at least have some of the lowest crime rates in the country.

I see. So we should be desensitized for anything that happens in the ghetto, but up in arms when a man exercises his legal rights. Emmm.... I guess you believe Zimmerman was guilty too.

You have proved it. The Florida forums have the most idiotic, know nothing, unhappy and caustic people of all the other forums on CD.

Betting this is another person who came here, failed, made mistakes and now hates Florida and everything about it.

Just more space for those of us who love it.

Could be the case, but I think the whole purpose of those posters is simply trolling and to start arguments and cause dissention. I have decided to let them have at it as I have found a better place where information can be given to people without the morons and their ridiculous comments. CD FL and Tampa has been destroyed from its original purpose. If someone says its green another will argue that it is orange.

I have having my account here closed as there is simply no use trying to participate in an arena loaded with nitwits.
