super duper glad I bought 10 sheets 3/4 plywood 2 years ago and still have not had to put it up. With lumber prices rising I suggest getting that plywood now if ya need it. before lumber prices and the ocean both surge.

AccuWeather should include a Skanska barge forecast. As rough as Sally was (we measured just at 30 inches of rain), the 20+ Skanska stray barges had a destructive and long-lasting impact.

What i mean is a CAT 3 or more coming up the pipe from the southwest onshore bound. No state crossers and misses well to the west. 1921 was the last real storm for the Tamp area.
Hurricane Charley 2004? He was a real monster. Category 4. Very compact storm, fast-moving, tightly packed isobars, very violent, crept up from Jamaica to the Gulf in just one day.

How could you forget? Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda sure didn't.

Oldsmar. Look him up if you are on Facebook. He has a huge following. He is Florida grown and hurricanes are a sort of hobby to him. He gets shout outs from even Fox news. He is the drunk donkey. You have to research that. The story behind it is hilarious.

Charley was tiny and the core winds were only 30 miles from the storm center. Tampa got nothing out of that. There was nothing to forget jack. I was pissed that we missed the action in Tampa. Like always they never come my way.

My sister and her 2 daughters went through Andrew, that's not something they want to experience again.

We went through Andrew in Miami as well. We've been through other hurricanes after that, but Andrew was the worst by a long shot.

What were you mad about? That you missed the looting? Missed not having the power (and thus A/C) that was out for weeks? Missed having a working refrigerator? I'd like to know.

I went through 3 minor ones in 2004, Frances, Ivan, and Jeanne, when I lived in Melbourne Beach.... I don't want to experience anything stronger.
