Have you spent any time in colder states?...

I've lived in a few states, when I lived in FL I rarely was depressed...it must've been the weather. I also still have relatives there and they never seem to get down either. I wouldn't like the hurricanes and being evacuated, and the summer heat is suffocating...aside from that it felt ok. Though I would like to try Arizona and see if it's the same, minus the humidity...

I just passed on something I got in my email...and it never hurts to ponder such things. I've seen many changes to the state over the years.

Born in FL. I miss the weather we used to have. Now it is hot year round with little rain.

Must be part of 'climate change'...we seem to be getting hotter summers in northeast.

The planet is heating up faster and faster as the ramp up speeds up. Our weather has changed so much in my part of FL that i go months without any rain and my winters have warmed up so much.

Gee maybe I don't have to go to Florida...eventually their weather will be up in PA. I do realize there are states closer to here where winter weather is usually mild enough for me,like SC...but the vibe there doesn't feel the same as FL.

And the gorgeous skies, the smell of tropical flowers in the air esp in the evenings...the lush plants...the ocean breezes, picking tangerines in your back yard, no monumentally ugly, dirty piles of snow....
more than the weather!!

The main reasons we left Florida were that it is too hot 9 months out of the year and the fact that coastal Florida is way over developed. Insurance is a problem too. When we moved to Venice it had a small town vibe but over development killed that. I'm glad we got to enjoy it when it was better but I'm more glad that we left.
