Does MA not have that? Even if they don't you're still paying inspection fees on top of your reg fees and that adds up over the years.

The majority of jobs are going to illegals and foreigners. It's that simple.

Employers welcome them with open arms without fear of legal compliance.

Businesses keep politicians on a string like sunfish so existing laws to remove or rehabilitate them aren't enforced, and new laws aren't enacted.

An alarming majority make zero attempt to assimilate into American culture or learn English, instead work to create here the same 3rd world country they left. They don't get drivers licenses, license plates, or secure insurance. How can they - they're illegal!

Meanwhile, we pay for no-fault insurance, another not-so-cute name that forces us to pay for those who can't be bothered to insure themselves. We pay by suffering increased crime. Children pay in overcrowded schools with teachers stretched thin while anchor babies and illegal children are catered to with lessons in their native language.

IMO, Florida is turning into a 3rd world state. It's certainly not there yet, but with politicians protecting their business interests, real economics are not likely to improve for Americans. Everywhere these illegals congregate becomes a cesspool.

Both Democrat and Republican w$*%&$ must be removed from office and replaced with statesmen who respect our constitution, work for the people, and will enforce laws without encumbrance.

This country is sliding down a slippery slope and it should be quite apparent it's our politicians from both parties putting us there.

Have you been to LA lately or the rest of SoCal lately? Or even in other states like AZ. That's pretty much WHY AZ took it upon themselves to enforce their border, considering the US government wasn't about to do irs job (heaven forbid).

A lot of that capital (gained illegally by workers and employers who don't pay payroll/SS taxes) ends up back in Mexico, so it's no wonder that the Mexican government is OK with the status quo. I've heard that in Mexico however, you can be arrested, fined, imprisoned etc. for being there illegally.

There needs to be enforcement on both ends (at the border, and in our country against both employers and employees) to stem the tide.

15 months after the stimulus was passed....

Private Sector Adds Few Jobs - WSJ.com

Quote:
Private payroll gains were muted in June as small businesses cut jobs, according to data released Wednesday.

Private-sector jobs in the U.S. increased by 13,000 last month, according to a national employment report published by payroll giant Automatic Data Processing Inc. and consultancy Macroeconomic Advisers.

Economists had expected ADP to report a jobs gain of 60,000 for June.

Maybe the low wage jobs (although they're all low wage jobs in Florida!) There's also a lot of competition from the older folks who make an extra $200 a week to supplement their Soc Sec checks & pensions or work for benefits.

Where have all the Florida jobs gone?

Just look on the labels of everything you buy to see where it was made, thats probably where all the jobs have gone.

I tried to give you a rep point, but was unable to, so I guess I need to spread the love around a little. Anyway, let's not point our fingers so quickly at "foreigners" who have moved to the U.S. the same way our grandparents did many years ago. Although I agree that we need to stop sending our jobs to China and other countries, I've known a lot of people who moved here from other countries legally to work hard and take care of their families. Actually, most of them are in the same boat as we are right now and sinking fast.

So basically nothing has changed in the past 15 years here? LOL! Sadly you can probably write this same exact post another 15 years from now. Anyway I searched for jobs in the Central Fl. area and have found 37,000 jobs posted alone from one website, that's not including the hundreds from EmployFlorida. Truth is most Floridians want something handed to them on a silver platter with a perfect schedule, best pay, close to home, etc. Well guess what, they call it WORK for a reason.
