I moved to Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch area, 9 months ago from the suburbs of St. Louis...grew up in St. Louis...big city,,,lots to do,,very up & coming area...as a kid, always had lots to do...I moved to Bradenton to get out of the cold winters, finally,,,always visited FL,,,brother lives in St. Pete. However, moved to a beautiful neighborhood east of I-75 in Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch area, but i feel I'm in a cracker jack box...nothing to do here...very bored,,,not urban at all....schools have nothing going on...everyone ranted & raved about Lakewood Ranch & I feel I'm in a small town with horses & cows everywhere! My kids are bored! Where would an up & coming place to move be in the Fort Myers area? Keep in mind schools are big to think about....Please help!

Why Ft. Myers - I don't think you will like that any better. If you want city living move somewhere to the Tampa/St. Pete area, I think that would suit you a lot more.

Good luck!
