Outstanding responses from you if someone does not agree with you...

Some of the most beautiful beaches are the ones I went to in Maine. Yes cold water, but the rock cliffs give them personality.

My family is from New Jersey....11 miles over roads to Broadway. After tolls and parking, we too could get a $75 lunch for three of pasta and sparkling water.

Now I can hop a jet blue flight for $75.00 and be in New York for a weekend. Then I can go home and say, "Nice place to visit. But I wouldn't want to live there."

BTW.... Northeastern beaches suck. Water below 75 degrees is only pretty to look at.

Oh get off it already.

The OP was snarky and sarcastic, and I responded in like kind. Save your fake outrage for the good citizens of Massachusetts.

Maybe if the poster did not respond in such a snooty manner the post would not have been made. There is a difference in not agreeing and just being a plain jerk about it.

Beautiful state. I would choose Maine over Florida in a heartbeat.

Default We didn't drop NY

NY dropped my husband (job). I am almost 60 and from LI (Smithtown). As soon as we can retire, I want to move back to Long Island. The longer I am in Florida, the more I hate it and want to go home.

My husband went back in August for a week. I didn't go because I don't want to exchange summer for MORE summer. I am going up in October (yeah FALL) and again Thanksgiving. I would LOVE to go in the winter, but the fares are very expensive going BACK to Florida. Damn. I never, never, never wanted to retire to Florida.

New Yorker FOREVER
