Well, the "Florida lifestyle" is living in a retirment park, waking up early to catch the 50% off sale at Bealls and shopping all day, going home to put your new clothes away, and going to catch the early bird special before Jeapordy comes on.

I think the Florida lifestyle is GREED and selling homes at any cost. It seem all people want to do in Florida is take your money at any cost. Its all about GREED.

things have changed...like everywhere else. some places have changed for the better, some places have changed for the worst. some people in FL cashed in their properties and moved on elsewhere, some decided to stay for reasons. FL had in the past and will in the future attract people, mostly the ones with money. The weather has had a huge impact on a person's life.
I really doubt that FL will get more affordable or less expensive, this will generate a human flood relocating to FL.
Florida will keep on becoming less and less attractive for the middle class until mostly the rich will be able to afford to enjoy it.

I hope that the rich enjoy their 400,000.00 tract homes with sprawling 1/5 acre lots! As for me, if I was rich I would not want to live in an expensive crackerbox.

For the full time resident, just trying to make ends meet. Wasn't always like that. Once it was a 40 hour week with mom at home, a garden that grew year round. Weekends seeing people out cutting the grass and the kids playing in the sprinkler waving to you as you went by. Rather small well kept homes with one or two cars in the driveway with the Spanish tile roofs and you could actually afford it.

Homes are expensive everywhere. I would rather buy a home in florida than in wisconsin. Atleast in florida your home gain value fast rather than wisconsin, because people will always move to florida no matter what.
