The bottom line is that snow melts. Walking home in the blizzard of 1977 (24 inches in one day) a mile and a half is just a memory now. It all melted in time.

The sun in Florida doesn't melt away.

I agree. Even here in northeast Tennessee (where our yearly average is 13 inches of snow per year) when we get a snow its usually all melted after a couple of days. I imagine those few flakes down there went really fast. Even the snow Atlanta got was mostly gone by the next day, even though temps have not been above freezing down there.

Different strokes, I do know several ppl who love cold weather and (gasp!)snow. Frankly, I don't know how anyone can enjoy Fla summers. With temps close to 100° and 90% humidity, summers, which last from May to Oct, seem almost unbearable, at least to me. I don't enjoy constantly sweating and dealing with the temp in my car at 120+°, yuck! I will be very glad to put Fla in my rear-view mirror, even if it means dealing with fridged winters.

ha you want snow you can take some from North Dakota. It sucks. I was waiting for the bus this morning and the was a pile of snow next to me that was taller than me haha. Oh and all the street signs are like halfways buried. You can't even see out of the basement windows they're completely white. Yeah you can take the temperature to im sick of it being in the negatives all the time. Oh well

Here in NJ, the summers do get very excruciating. There's times can't even go in the car because it's so hot inside...
I can only imagine florida when it gets to freaking 100+ with 90+ humidity!

The actual temp rarely goes above 100. Its usually in the low 90s and it will get into the high 90s sometimes during the peak weeks of summer. But with the high humidity the 90 degree temps feel much hotter.

The actual temps in Naples gets to 90+ regularly in the summer. The heat index is another matter. That approaches or well exceed 100+ degrees.

Default Last I heard you only go 4 or 6 inches

that is nothing. I myself, when in my late 50s as a 100 lb woman, shoveled more than that. A very LONG driveway in Smithtown on a hill.

Ice storms are worse. What do you do with 3 inches of ice on your car and driveway? Snow can be shoveled. ICE can't. I would take 2 feet of snow over 2 INCHES of ICE.
