Homemade chicken noodle soup! With big chunks of carrots, celery, mushrooms, green onions, chicken and egg noodles!! *sniff sniff* Mmmmm smells sooo good and can't wait to dig in!!!
Yesterday, it was turkey, roast potatoes with garlic and rosemary, and steamed green beans with lemon pepper. The gravy came out way too thick, and my husband jokingly called it "sludge" (Fat Tire beer, butter, fresh rosemary/sage/thyme, worcestershire, soy sauce, used to baste the roasting turkey, then reduced and thickened with a slurry), but people ate up almost all of it, and he asked me to please not toss the remaining couple tablespoons of it. I think I will make open-faced turkey sandwiches on rye today with the sludge!
For dinner, I'm making turkey soup from the bones and leftovers.
Sea scallops, steamed asparagus and a salad tonight.
