Do any of your local grocery stores offer food samples on a regular basis? Right now we only have one market that does...How about warehouse stores in your area like "Costco" and "Sam's Club" etc.? Do they offer samples everyday or on weekends?...I love samples! I wish all stores offered them on a regular basis. How about you?
Costco offers samples on a regular basis, but I usually pass since there's usually a mob of parents with their kids around the tables. Trader Joe's offers something every day, plus free coffee or tea. When I was dating this Korean girl she took me to some Asian market and their samples were plentiful & yummy. The only thing i hated were the old women who're rly aggressive with their carts, twice running into my back and over my feet!

In the Korean markets like H-Mart, you need to wear shin guards because those women will run into your legs without a second thought.
The ONLY way you stop that is by payment in kind. Then, they are more careful.
I live in between two local chains, and one is REALLY big on samples, and the other, hardly ever. Weird, for two stores in the same chain. Just run differently, I guess.
My niece and nephew used to call Whole Foods the "sample store." We'd get one of those carts with the cars in front for the kids to sit in; as we were traversing the aisles, I'd see their little arms stick out of the car to alert me to samples ahead.
Only our Costco does, the local Target occasionally has a sample or two but that's it.
My 7 year old loves going to Costco at the weekend, she wants to see what every single cart is offering. It's funny to see what she'll eat there that she won't eat at home!
I don't like the samples they give in markets and never sample them. People reach in with dirty hands. I've seen them use the same toothpick more than once, spearing around the samples. Cheese squares sitting out with crackers nearby. Gross.
I have made a few recipes based on samples I had from the publix aprons table.
They dont do the toothpicks and each is given on a seperate plate.
Big drawback is while you are shopping lazy folks tend to put the empty plates anywhere they see an empty spot.

Who reaches in where?? Every time I've seen sampling at the grocery store, an attendant prepares the sample and hands it to the shopper.
I love Trader Joe's samples and often end up buying whatever they're selling.
