We spend $250/mo. for two adults and also buy mostly organic and gluten free. We get all of our meats at a local butcher instead of at Whole Foods because it is much cheaper since they have packages you can purchase. We had to get a stand alone freezer to put in our garage but it has been worth it. We also figure out what dishes we are going to fix each month, what ingredients they need, and then pair similar items together so that we can save money by buying the ingredients in larger amounts and not have any waste.

Those coupon shows are so tempting, but you can't get good deals on good food...we have joined a co-op before for our veggies and that was incredibly affordable too. So, there are ways to save money. I hope you find some because your monthly grocery bill is very high just for two.

Because of a job loss, we are down from $600 per month to $200.
Lucky for us, they just opened a really good discount grocery store chain in the city in which wreside.
And so far, all of the off brand substitutes have rivaled or surpassed the brand name products.

We like variety, so our list will vary from week to week.
