Romanian pancake w/ mash potato?
Kind of like a blintz/latke/kreplach?
Your dinner sounds DELISH!!!

Better than my lunch meat turkey sandwich on the couch in front of the t.v.

I go to an Eastern European deli, and they were giving out samples. It was fantastic, so I bought one. They're huge; bigger than a dinner plate and redolent with garlic and dill. Nothing at all like a regular latke. The guy told me what it was called...it sounded like "placenta" but that couldn't be it. It also came in cabbage, apple or cottage cheese. I'm definitely going to buy more. They're $3.50 each.

It could have been a clatite. Some of the google pics look similar. Definitely not a mucver...no shredded bits in it. All I know is that it was really, really, delicious.
It kind of looks like two thin crepes seamlessly fused together with a layer of mashed potato inside.

We got pizza for lunch so I ate 1 slice & decided to save the other slice for dinner because I am working 2:00-8:00. It's a grilled chicken square slice with fresh mozzarella, roasted red peppers and balsamic glaze. I'll have an apple with it. Hubby is having baked chicken legs for dinner that I made earlier.
