I buy them at my local grocery store probably a couple of times a month when I know that I forgot to defrost something for dinner in the refrigerator but want to avoid fast food. They cost $5 for a 3-pounder (quite a bit less than a "value meal" at McDonald's, and they last several days!). I've had the barbecue but results were mixed -- after a couple of really dry ones, I stopped buying that flavor, so now I usually stick to the "regular."
My grocery store also guarantees availability between 4 and 7 p.m. on weekdays. If you get there at 5 minutes before 7 and they're all sold out, your next one is free.
I have noticed one thing, though -- occasionally I will get there just as they put them out (seems to be 9:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., and 4 p.m.), and I've seen the "time out of the oven" indicator that is just plain wrong, e.g. I'll get there at 1:30 p.m. and find one that says it was put out at 1:45 p.m. -- 15 minutes after I picked it up! I know they are extending the time during which they can sell it as fresh, but it seems, well, unethical? (Maybe illegal too? Not sure if they actually have 15-30 minutes' leeway on such things? The first time this happened, I said something to the clerk, and the reply was something like "oh we must have read the time wrong" or some asinine statement.) Of course this makes me only buy them within half an hour of the time it says on them.

The ones that I have purchased have been so unbearably salty.
I can generally roast a chicken at home for about half of the price and season it in the manner that I would like. Generally, I will but out the backbone, necks, and feet for my chicken noodle soups.
Not often. The ones from Costco sometimes are raw by the bone. Maybe they take them off the rotisserie, and factor in additional cooking time under the heat lamps.
Every 2-3 weeks. The ones from our local Sprouts are excellent and run between $4.99 to $5.99, depending upon if it's on sale.
We only really like the white meat, so the first night we each eat 1/2 the breast. The leftovers (including the dark meat) either go towards chicken salad, or get mixed with pasta and cream of chicken soup (and sometimes cheese), or get topped with a little alfredo sauce over pasta. Sometimes I put it into pizza crust, add cheese and whatever veggie leftovers I have in the fridge, and make something vaguely resembling a "stromboli" out of it. I leave a little meat on each leg bone and give them to our parrots. (They pick at the chicken and then open the bone to scoop out the marrow, which is high in calcium and good for them.) Not one drop goes to waste.

I barely eat meat much now anyway..
They're not undercooked unless they actually give off some blood - long, low cooking of meat often gives a red color in some areas.
I like the red color because it's a sign that the white meat will be more juicy and tender.
Usually once a week if i'm looking to bring something home for lunch i'll buy a half of one for $4,throw it on a plate still warm,a side of some BBQ sauce and coleslaw and ya got a meal that beats a burger in all respects..
It doesn't really matter how many times.. What matters is that we "price match" the chicken with Albertson's and Smiths and local grocery stores. ...Walmart will price match if you show them the ad for a lesser amount...Also, with milk, bread etc... ...Don't let Walmart get away with $6.99 or $5.99 chicken when your local ads will sell it for $4.99 ....I make a list of all the ads and only buy price match items...the rest I get at the dollar stores. I go through stages with what chicken I buy. I may get rotisserie chicken once or twice a month, sometimes not at all. I usually waver between the rotisserie chicken, KFC, my own homemade chicken, or fried chicken from an area grocery store here.
