so I normally don't cook anything on Thursdays. Hubby and daughter have plenty of leftovers in the fridge. Have a great day all!

Cyn do you remember how you raved about the applesauce? How it smelled and how it tasted? Well imagine how much better it will taste when I tell you to add a dash or two of vanilla extract that I think I forgot to tell you to add.....so sorry

I just put on a pot of the applesauce and went to go get the vanilla and had an ooooops moment.

We all have moments like those, crazy.

Last night we ended up having shrimp sauteed in some butter and olive oil (woops) with onion, celery, a diced tomato, and thinly sliced spinach added in at the last minute. Also added some of my garlic-red chile sauce I still have left. I scooped it on toast with a thin slice of cheese on top and put it in the broiler till it melted. Not too bad, DH liked it a lot.

Tonight we're having Cyn's soy baked chicken thighs, with the barley casserole recipe somebody posted, plus broccoli. It's a real C-D night!!

That's ok crazy! I put a 3" vanilla bean in the applesauce when I cooked it. Guess that's the same thing? It couldn't have been any better I don't think. We were very happy with the end results!

I'm glad.....this is what happens when you give a recipe out. I tend to dump and pour things s it is hard to remember some things. Plus I have that CRS disease.

MWBW, what a wonderful story! I got a giggle or two out of it.

DH is going to make a turkey dinner for us tonight. This should be interesting. Film at 11.

Whole chicken and chiken legs are on sale this week at .57/lb. I'll be stocking up. Tonight I will just bake chicken and potatoes with diced onions. It's easy and such a simple dish, but the potatoes soak up the chicken juice and it's so good. Salad and biscuits. Another easy day.
