Went out to lunch... the girls were starving after church so we had some Chinese...didn't OD on our meals but hubby and I know we should not eat another MEAL tonight... lookin' to the LUNA BARS
My question is about the salmon... my pink chicken experiment will have to be put on hold... do you think it is ok in the frig one more day sitting in the Teryaki sauce since late last night? Started out frozen and was still kind of stiff this morning before church...hmmmm... That stuff makes me nervous... but do you all think it would be ok to sit for today? Or should i cook it up and eat it tomorrow?
I think it will be fine...especially in marinade....however it may be less pink as it takes on the color of the marinade...teriaki will darken it....but the flavor will improve as it sits in it. Cook it tomorrow.

Well if it tastes more like Teriyaki then it won't taste AS fishy... so that in itself is a plus where the girls come into play...lol
Yesterday I went to go visit a great-aunt of mine. She recently turned 102 and I was not able to attend her birthday dinner.
The plan was for me to take her out for a late lunch/early dinner. When she answered the door she had her apron on and was cooking us dinner.
She had fixed a nice roast chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, a green salad and homemade rolls. For dessert she baked a peach pie. She sent me home with the leftovers, so that is what I'm having for dinner.
When I asked her why she cooked instead of letting me taking her out she said, "I'm 102 years old, if I want to cook you dinner, I'm going to cook you dinner, that is all the reason I need". Can't argue with that!
The lady is amazing...102 years old, still lives alone, does most of her own gardening, and walks a mile everyday...without a cane or walker!
had pork chops with shiitake mushroom and onion gravy and mashed potato and fresh local tomatoes.....
