My kids used to always revert to some cartoon they saw and say, "pork chops and apple sauce" and then go off into laughter.

I did pork chops last night smothered. Sauted some onion and garlic in OO and a little butter. Seasoned chops and browned on both sides. Covered with chicken stock and simmered for 2 hours. Took meat out of pan and added a little cornstarch with water. Small red potatoes smashed & green beens. Man o man was it good. I suprised my self. Leftovers for lunch today.

I took salmon and a few shrimp of the freezer to defrost. Its coolish here, maybe I will make some chowdah as well....that would be good. I like corn chowdah...but not sure how DP would take to that....so maybe I will do "clam chowdah" I know he likes that. Hmmm I think I need to get some potatoes.
