Ohh Kimba, I just saw the pic~What a beautiful baby!!!! Congratulations to your family!!

Nomad, Glad you got your pizza! Personally, I have never had it with ham (or pineapple). Someday I will have to try it.

I stopped at Ben's Kosher Deli for takeout last night. Potato Pancakes, Knishes, coleslaw, Poatato salad & pastrami. & those big sour pickles!

Meeting son again for a sushi lunch! Can't wait~Have a great day everyone!

Happy anniversary to you and Mr. Crazy!

Gue, next time you go to this deli, give me a call, ok? That sounds SOOOO good!

Too early to figure out dinner, but I'm thinking fish.

Gotta run....going to be pampered at the spa!

I have a flank steak to use because I defrosted it yesterday.....I also have a jar of medium hot salsa that is in the firdge and I think I opened it...but didnt use.....I am wondering about making a mexican style sauce out of the salsa to go on the meat.....sort of pot roasted/braised in the salsa after browning it....Do you thnk that would work? But then again I might hold off a day on the flanken because we had beef last night and variety in the menu as with everything else is the "spice of life".

Kats, that post of Huckleberry's sounded like a colonoscopy to me.. poor guy.

Last night ate ridiculous amount at basketball game buffet. When will I accept that "all you can eat" is not a challenge? Buffet food isn't even that good, yet I must fill my plate 3 times? Ay caramba. Calling me stupid for that would be an insult to stupid people!! (name that flick..)

No breakfast this morning (don't need it). Dinner will be something simple.

I bought a nice small round loaf of bread at Whole Paycheck yesterday, a big sweet onion, and some bleu cheese. Perhaps salad and toasted cheese bread for dinner?

The pastrami with the knishes and coleslaw sounds "nicht kosher"........but maybe they don't use dairy in their knishes or slaw.... It does sound good. I havent found a jewish deli around here--there must be one in Portland.

Buffalo burgers, sweet potato fries and some fresh vegetable. It's a late week staple at my place.

Elston, I'm sure they make the different kosher foods, but natch they can't force you to eat them in a kosher way, i.e. separate meals on separate dishes.

Luckily for me... since I don't keep kosher either.

Hey guys---this is a happy place--a place to come and share and be happy!! We have been told we are a chat thread--so we are---and we chat about food and more---I am probably the worst for staying on topic! Just come and share and enjoy---if we were any other kind of thread this would not be nearly as popular and fun. We are one big happy family at this lovely dinner table.

Also, thank you all for being patient and showing concern with my absence. My loss of Sadie was only part of a very painful time in my personal life at this time. I am enjoying reading all the wonderful posts and it is especially nice to smile while reading them! Thank you!
