I could live on crusty bread and olive oil.

Morning all, I am at a loss as to what to make tonight. Last night we had spaghetti, night before chicken, night before that, pasta. And so it goes. We are definately in a rut, I need to put on my thinking cap and figure something out.

Pork. I don't see pork on your list. (pork chops with that shake & bake stuff).

Meatloaf!

Hamburgers!

Soup & salad!

Me too! Bread/pasta/potatoes are definitely my downfall!

I am going to have to stop at the supermarket on my way home today.

Need crusty bread. Need strawberries. I have some avocado at home that is just perfectly ripe for today.

So.....maybe some shrimp, avocado, tomatos, crusty bread with olive oil (and a little oregano for me), and strawberries on pound cake with a can of condensed milk over it.

Can't stray too far from the bathroom after this.

OK maybe THAT was too much info.

Forgot... I have spinach too.

Havent thought about supper yet; the oven bar b que pork ribs came out very good last night......I have to do some shopping so maybe won't defrost anything and see what looks good.........I am in the mood for seafood or fish I do believe......maybe some Maine mussels steamed in white wine and shallots.....and perhaps the "crusty bread" or peasant bread we've been talking about!

Pie ala Mode or ice cream & cake are good alternatives for escaping the rut

Here is the problem, hubby doesn't eat red meat or pork so unless I want to cook 2 meals 1 for him another for the me and the kids, we eat chicken or pasta alllll the time. Ya know. He does eat fish but I don't have enough in the freezer to feed everyone for dinner so that is out. I was thinking some kind of soup or stew, have to see. I do have pork in the freezer, I suppose I could cook that up for me and the kids and do a chicken breast for him but it is such a pain to cook that way.
