Tonight I am pot roasting a beef roast and making a peach coffee cake with struesel topping for dessert.
Sounds so delicious! Can you come and cook for me? LOL

To be honest I don't think the number of pages has anything to do with how long it took for you to open this. I'd hate to have all of these wonderful replies and recipes lost! There are so many great thoughts and comments here. To many good feelings and just to many good, good, good things!! I have seen where they start new threads under the same title but I don't know where all those old posts go then...and since I haven't heard of anyone else having this problem maybe, as kshe already said it could be another problem with your computer. I do hope you can figure out the problem because we'd love to have you keep coming back!!

No cooking here either b/c we had warm lunch.

I'm having a small veggie salad and a slice of dark bread with cream cheese right now while typing...

Wow-thought none of us was eating tonight! LOL.

Was going to have fried chicken last night but the urge hit for sloppy joes, fries and coleslaw. So fried chicken, mashed and corn tonite.

Love cream cheese on dark bread-especially date nut.

So far, uninspired about dinner...we'll probably have the last of the Giada stuffed shells. Just finished lunch of grilled cheese with tomato and dill pickles, and tomato soup.

I don't have a clue as to whats for supper; will have to wait and see what DP thinks. I could go the KFC route to tell you the truth. Hows that for a cop out after the nice praise I got yesterday for my menu ideas.

The other thing I could be talked into, would be "tamale pie"; I got an idea from America Test Kitchen and it was pretty much peppers, (I have nice red one and green one) onion, hamburg and mexican seasoning saute--put in a flat dish cover with corn bread batter and cook in oven ...... I like the sounds of that and all I would need to pick up is hamburg. (that sounds like the type of dish my DP would hate.....but if I do rice on the side....he will be a fairly happy man.

PS: almost as easy as I said but I forgot can of drained black beans (got em) and diced tomatoes (got em) and shredded cheddar cheese (got it) they would like me to use fresh cilantro and chili powder and garlic but I think I will use a McCormicks package of Mexican Seasoning....got to use it up before the house gets tented for termites! :0

Oh Elston-guess you won't be cooking after that tenting for a few days.

I love America's Test Kitchen, Lidia's Family Kitchen.

Not doing the fried chicken-again-calling for pizza (at least what they call pizza here).
