Good to have you back lacey! You have been missed! Sounds like your trip was great! That's crazy about the amount of cars due to gas prices. Maybe if enough people stop driving it will help to keep the gas prices down?? Probably not! We went out for Japanese for dinner last night! It hit the spot plus I wanted to give my daughter a break from the kitchen! This has been a vacation for me as she has taken over my kitchen this last week and a half---been nice! I think she has enjoyed cooking for us too. She is a keeper!

Welcome back Lacey!!!!!

Tonight for dinner is tuna casserole. Nothing fancy. I will have to come up with a good desert to accompany it.

Of course, you and Lacey come on down!

It goes in the "saving money on groceries" thread too. The brisket was $1.79/lb on sale and we had it on wheat orowheat buns from the Baird's bread outlet.

Of course I am ruining all that good work by going to Whole Paycheck on my lunch break today.. it's the only good salad bar around here. C'est la vie.

Oh, Blue Fish.......my partner keeps asking for Blue Fish! He loves it, but its not in season yet around here. I remember in the summer my Dad used to catch them and no-one liked them.....to strong of f i s h but that is my partners favorite; he likes alll the stronger flavored fish and right now salmon is about all I can find. (He doesnt care for fresh water fish, and neither do I).
