the Golden Corral is a "Crime against Nature" in every way, pure Disgust! The only Buffet I would go to is at "Bellagio".

Been to a couple of buffet restarants in Colorado (not GC) that weren't too bad. We loved the breakfast, but just like many folks, had a tendancy to eat a little too much! Went to a GC in North Carolina that was good.....have ate both breakfast and dinner at that one. Now, been to a couple of GC here in the Jax, FL area and the one was definitely better than the other. Now, we are not obese by any sense of the word (me/20lbs over-wife/perhaps 35 lbs over), BUT, we sure have seen a LOT of heavy-to-obese people eating at these GC. Also, ate at a few buffets in Las Vegas, NV that were really, really good......prime rib and lobster for dinner. We loved the Aladdin Breakfast Champagne Buffet on the weekends!

I'd sooner make some Kraft mac and cheese and home. It's about the same quality.
I'd rather pay for less food of higher quality.

Some of them do be sloppy. I was at one that was utterly gross and the food was yuck!!

The one near us is still clean. The only thing I don't like is some of the creepy people that tend to park themselves there between lunch and dinner. They pay for the lunch and stay for dinner. As they eat, they like to stare at people. Some of them have said creepy things to my kids or me. So we only go when my hubby can go with us.

I like the food and there is enough choice to satisfy everyone in our family. Not my first choice when we go out, but once in while is nice. Esp. with my 12 year old who never seems to get enough to eat!

No. My H and kids think it is amazing though, so we go about 2x a year.

We don't have them where I live, but I have fond memories of going to one in PA when I was little during a trip to Hersheypark. I also have been to one in the South and it was good. I couldn't believe how much food there was. It's not made for somebody like me who is full five minutes after I start.

How do you answer an overly simplistic poll? I would never choose to eat an "all you can eat" establishment, but if I had to, the Golden Corral would definitely be my choice over all the other chains. Is that a 'yes' or a 'no'?
