I am taking green tea in the form of tablets, and I drink it too for the health benefits, but to spice it up I add things like peppermint and hot tea spice.

You can drink a lot more cups of tea than you can of coffee. Tea doesn't have the acid coffee does.

So I've tried it. Its Tazo and has (allegedly) lemongrass and spearmint flavors. Is this like "Diet Coke" chocked full of healthy things like aspertame?

Anyhow it wasn't too bad...maybe I should get some Eastern themed stuff to hang in my office, or maybe a gong.

Default Green tea benefits

Green tea decreases the risk of strokes, it as anti oxidant Vitamin E, which slows the aging process.

White tea does that too... actually better.

Nevertheless... I am a tea addict. Black, red, green or white... I have on hand most all the time.

Default favorite green tea...

what is your favorite green tea? i guess i'm talking tea bags. i lived in japan for more than a decade and loved the green tea from tea bags at the conveyor belt sushi restaurants. also the restaurants had a higher level of green tea and you could taste it. also drank some at a tea ceremony which was cool as hell.

right now i like yamamotoyama which comes in the 16 bag box. i also got a few boxes of salada green tea, and of course some lipton green tea.

eventually i want to try the local asian market and see what they have.

I order Japanese loose-leaf green tea (Gyokuro) - I like it better than the bag teas, but bag teas have come a long way, quality-wise, in the last few years.

I also drink several loose-leaf Chinese green teas and Silver Needle white tea. The Gyokuro is a vegetal tea and some don't like the "grassy" flavor.
