I buy red seedless grapes to feed to the birds that eat fruit. I don't eat them myself or even bring them in my home. No matter where I buy this one California brand, after feeding the birds my hands are filthy like I was playing in the mud. Besides the consumer rinsing them is the supermarket and/or the the people that sell them to the stores required to rinse them? If you look at them in the plastic bag they come in, they don't look so dirty but the bag is the same type of bag you get roasted chickens in. It is not the plastic bag with all the holes that would allow someone to rinse them in the bag.
Maybe I don't eat them but I'm worried about people who do.
I've never in my life washed fruits or vegetables and don't plan to start doing so. I'm 55 and very healthy.
