I think we're having eggplant parm tonight, since I have eggplants (from the garden) to use up.

It's soup weather here! Grey, chilly and..well, rather soupy outside. So I thought I'd make a colorful and warming October meal - Cream of pumpkin soup with sherry and leeks, cauliflower gratin, salad with baby greens, endive, (thanks randomparent) walnuts, diced apples and dried cranberries. Crumbled Gorgonzola on top with an apple cider based dressing.

A crusty multi-grain bread and whipped butter.

Pear cobble.

Americanized (basically egg on toast) or the real thing (sausages in Yorkshire Pudding)?

Honestly I am not sure, Mr. CSD is not home and my part time gal is coming over for a couple hours this afternoon to get laundry finished up so I don't actually have to cook.
I may just heat up more of the leftover Macaroni and Cheese I made yesterday and call it supper.

If my car gets fixed today I am going to go to a Chicago style restaurant up the road on Colfax to get an Italian beef sandwich with hot giardiniera, a Maxwell Street Polish, possibly some fries, and a large Green River...I am salivating over this.

Mountains and my favorite foods and favorite pop=my personal heaven.

Green salad with olive oil and vinegar dressing, and a cup of my homemade chicken soup. Yum!

That does sound good but I would probably go for a Cheese Toastie instead of the salad today.

Edited to add: A Cheese Toastie is known to those outside of my Mother's kitchen as a "Grilled Cheese Sandwich".
