kids coming over this afternoon as soon as we get back from church to help us put our garden room furniture together and to redo our chairs, so I am fixing dinner. We are having a chicken/shrimp casserole, salad with avocado, cukes, romaine and a special dressing and I think I am fixing snow peas or asparagus. We are all about asparagused out, as much as we love it, but I still think I will roast some. Of course there will be a little scotch for the guys and us, sissy women will indulge in a glass or two of wine. Our kids are so good to us!!!!!!!!
Since we want to watch the NASCAR race today, it's a day without much cooking.
Italian Beef (in the crockpot right now)
Homemade Potato Salad
Baked Beans
Iced Tea
Bud Light for Mr. Chickie
@ nmnita ~~~ that chicken/shrimp casserole sounds yummy...I will have to send you a note to get a recipe. Have fun with the kids and hope your furniture looks great!
Stuffed clams--- baked, and then drenched in fresh lemon juice.
Salad (covered in Italian dressing): bibb lettuce, roma toms, cucumbers, carrots, and red onion slices.
Stir fry with chicken breast, lots of veggies, extra veggies on the side. Probably shredded white cabbage, with lots of heat. Shrimp chips. Sticky rice.
I have to make cookies for lunches this week (pecan-oat drop cookies, almost a granola bar) so maybe I can squeeze in a small apple-pear strudel. Cravings for sweets and not a bite of dark chocolate in the house:>(
An apple/cinnamon non-fat yogurt, a toasted whole wheat pita bread with strawberry spread, a 90 calorie Fiber Now chocolate chewy bar and a mug of ceylon tea with a teaspoon of sugar and a bit of skim milk.
