Pork chops simmered with fresh cranberries, homemade applesauce and I had a lot of pieorgie potato filling so I am going to throw that into a casserole dish and bake it.

Can I just say all you guys are awesome. I wish I could rep more but CD keeps telling me to spread it around. I love that I found other people who love food, cooking, buying, sharing and talking about it as much as I do!

BBQ'd beef short ribs in the crock pot. Rice and either broccoli or brussel sprouts. It's beginning to look like a "B" meal. At least I'm cooking!

Happy Wednesday to all you gourmets!

Pork loin roast, broccoli and cauliflower salad and a veggie. I just don't know which veggie to have, probably the bok choy before it is too old.

I'm making stock with a chicken breast bone/skin and the usual suspects (carrot, celery, onion, peppercorns, parsley). Half of the meat made might tasty lunch sandwiches with mayo and romaine!

The other half will join the broth made after I strain out all of the above in a couple of hours. I'm making tortilla soup for dinner to cure my other half's cough. If I had my way, there would be a bunch of veggies floating in it but then he won't eat it! Soooo.... clear broth with chicken and a jalapeño, ladled over sliced avocado is about all I can do. Cheese and tortilla strips on top of course!

Since hubby and daughter didn't want exactly the same thing, we're having sort of a hodgepodge:

Bacon-cheddar chicken fillet melts (for her), cheesy lasagna-stuffed peppers (him) and I'm rounding it out with scalloped corn and the remainder of the chocolate cream pie. I'll bet you both of them will end up having some of everything.

Found some unmarked ham in the freezer. Lord only knows how old it is. I'm going to make a ham and broccoli quiche with a mandarin orange and romaine lettuce salad with poppy seed dressing.
