Reckon we're on a burger kick. Tonight was cheeseburgers served with sauteed onions & peppers. Fresh strawberries for dessert.

It's almost 10:00 pm and I'm eating Easy Mac and DH is eating a bologna sandwich. Working on taxes. We always owe, so I wait until the last minute.

Its a rainy day today, and I felt like cooking.

I'm making beef stew in a new way. I'm searing the meat and cooking it the usual way, but I'm roasting the vegetables in the oven before I add them to the stew (zucchini, carrots, onions, celery, potatoes).
I am also baking oatmeal bread to go with it. I found the recipe in an old 1940s era recipe box I've had for years.

Right now, the bread and the vegetables are in the oven, and it is starting to smell REALLY good in here.
