Yep! Everything tastes better on Fiesta plates.

And I DID have an avocado burger again last night, and it was again yummy. Alas, now I have no more avocado.

Cruising the North Shore, were ya?

Last night we went to a summer party at my son's school. I love his school and it was a great time. We stopped at Papa Gino's on the way home for pizza. It was all around a great family night.
Tonight I am making a maple dijon pot roast in the crock pot. I am throwing carrots in the pot and serving with mashed potatoes.
Happy happy Friday everyone!

spending the day shopping, getting doggy groomed and going to recycling so I am stopping at our fresh fish market for some really yummy fresh fish. I hope Halibut or Swordfish is in our budget. Of course all we will need is a salad and maybe a baked potato or some veggies with it. the fish alone will be our meal.

Too much to do today - meetings late morning and early afternoon, run to the bank, run to the library, run to the store to get potatoes for tomorrow's roast, probably stop for a drink with the world's most wonderful husband (yes, mine - don't worry - I'm not poaching a different one ) - I'm thinking that ordering out is sounding really good right about now.

I ended up eating Mac and Cheese. I tested my culinary mettle once again and am proud to report that I got all the cheese out of the shiny pouch of goodness so it wasn't half bad.

But pizza would've been better...
It was good!

P.S. I tried to rep ya, and tell ya that in a rep comment, but couldn't!

I've got a thick beef stew in the crock pot for beef pot pie tonight. Depending on what time I get home, I may put together a German Apple Cake - subbing pears for apples. I've got tons of pears coming off the trees.

My anniversary dinner was fabulous! The Avocado fried were the bomb! It came with a chipotle dipping sauce. Instead of bread and butter they gave you a warm cream cheese dip that had spinach and red peppers in it, with focaccia. I had Potato gnocchi with braised short ribs. The meat was shredded and had a brown red wine mushroom sauce. Hubby had a rib eye with lobster mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli with garlic. Tonight is Perdue chicken tenders, leftover rice and canned beets.
