My house is full and I am happy. Making pork chops and sauerkraut in the crock pot, serving with mashed potatoes. Thinking of my Mom and Dad and how when that smell permeates the house it makes me have wonderful memories of their home cooking and all the love! Happy Wednesday all. Stay cool!

Experimenting today. I had some pork chops to use up. I threw them in the crockpot with a few spoons of gouchang, soybean paste, ginger, garlic, onion, rice syrup, soy sauce and a bit of shaoxing wine.
Will serve it with purple sweet potatoes and kimchi later.
Well I am not quite sure what to call dinner: I have so much left over in the fridge that I am just sorta doing, a through it all together mix. I am using the little bit of left over pork and mixing it with rice, plus will add a few more ingredients, making it similar to a fried rice. Then I will steam snow peas and take a couple of tarts, similar to egg rolls I made about a month ago out of the freezer. I guess it is a modified Chinese dinner, very modified.
